Recorded sale multipliers
| Mutation | Sale multiplier |
|---|---|
| Transparent | 1.35× |
| Negative | 2× |
| Neon | 2.8× |
| Shadow | 6.66× |
| Abyssal | 8.5× |
These values come from the original community Mutations record, read October 18 through an indexed mid-2026 page. A sale multiplier is not the probability that the mutation appears, nor a guarantee of an exact price for every weight of fish.
Neon for Lost Captain
Whispers Beneath calls for three Neon-mutated fish. Neon can be recorded in any area; it is not a distinct fish species with a fixed “Neon spawn” marker. Use a route you can repeat and retain qualifying catches for the active objective.
Lost Captain’s later step also asks for Metal, Albino, Ultraviolet and Shadow catches. Check the objective’s credited counters and mutation names before selling. The full checklist keeps species requirements separate from mutation requirements.
Giant, Void and Drop Luck
Giant is a weight class, rather than a mutation entry in this record. The documented high-value mutation is named Abyssal; the old “Void” label is not silently treated as a verified synonym with the same multiplier.
The item record describes Drop Luck in relation to loot drops. Anglerfish’s passive describes a double-drop chance on catching. Neither wording establishes a specific mutation-spawn increase. Shadow is described as more likely at night, but this source does not provide an exact chance to feed a probability calculator.
