Abyss Money Guide — Cash, Roe and Quest Rewards

Match the currency to the purchase

Cash buys guns, tubes, storage, potions and navigation items such as the minimap/radar in the community currency record. Fish sales, Roe sales and quest rewards are distinct ways to earn it. Star Shards buy race rerolls and race slots; a Cash route is not automatically a renewable shard route.

Before selling, check whether the active quest requires the fish or its mutation. Finishing a turn-in may provide Cash, consumables or an access unlock that is more useful than liquidating the same catch immediately.

Measure a repeatable catch route

1. Record the Cash actually received from one set of sales and the time taken to leave, catch and return.
2. Subtract recurring costs that you actually paid, including teleports, feed or consumables. A fish value is gross revenue, not profit.
3. Repeat with the same equipment and conditions before using the result to compare a different route. Include failed trips rather than deleting them from the sample.

Use the pond as another measured income source

Fish Pond access follows the level-15 “Path to Fish Pond” quest. Stored fish produce Roe, which must be collected and sold to The Guy. The records do not establish a consistent universal offline multiplier, so an exact AFK-income promise would be misleading.

The pond worksheet uses your sample of actual sold Roe and expenses, retains losses, and compares an optional fish sale offer at the same observed rate. The fish remains removable; time to earn an equal amount is not proof that a purchase is guaranteed to pay for itself.
