Start at Kraken in the Forgotten Dome

1. Talk to Kraken and complete the tutorial catch of three fish. Read the active objective before selling fish that may be needed for a turn-in.
2. The first recorded quest asks for one Clownfish, two Blue Tangs and two Tangs. The next asks for one Pufferfish, three Clownfish and buying the Beginner Gun.
3. The following step asks for one Salmon, two Pufferfish, a geode and a Normal Tube. These are specific catch and equipment goals, not a reason to reroll your race first.

Understand the catch loop

Aim and click the harpoon at a fish. During the catch minigame, keep the fish within the green bar: holding moves the bar up and releasing moves it down. The gun’s control stat relates to the green bar width, while damage and cooldown govern different parts of catching.

X cancels the minigame, but the recorded behavior loses the streak. Cancel deliberately if you need to abandon a catch; it is not a free way to preserve catch progress.

Buy the upgrade named by your quest

The gun record lists Starter Gun at 75 Cash, Beginner at 350 and Advanced at 1,050. The tube record lists Normal at 425 Cash with 70 oxygen, 50m depth and 25kg capacity; Fire at 1,250 with 90 oxygen, 100m and 40kg. A depth limit is not a promise that you have enough oxygen for a return trip.

Cash from fish and quests buys this equipment. Star Shards instead buy race rolls and extra race slots. Keeping those budgets separate avoids spending a rare currency while your real blocker is a tube or required gun.
